Green Robot Project

Test run of the robot "Arturito" (Little Arthur), a remote controled mobile robot. Remote control is done through a website which sends orders to a client program in the robot. User feedback is provided by a live video stream. The robot "Arturito", is a two-wheeled service robot of my proprerty. It has laser range finders, two firewire cameras, GPS, Wi-fi router and it's part of my Ph.D. Project (SLAM with neural networks and vision). This is a robot that could navigate (or be guided) in outdoor environments. Part of the interest of using this robot is that having a ready-to-use service robot available to do SLAM robot localization trough the Internet would be fabulous for many Universities around the world, because the cost of developing such robots is really high, and there are very few image/range finders/localization databases online, much less real robots for doing self testing.
