WPI RBE2002 D10 Team 9 Final Project

Firefighting robot for RBE2002 final project at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The robot uses ultrasonic range finders and a gyroscope to navigate. The flame is detected using an infrared sensor mounted to a stepper motor driven turret. The controller counts the number of steps taken from the home position when the flame is detected and uses this information to calculate the angle in relation to the robot body. This angle is used in conjunction with the gyroscope to orient the robot to the flame. The flame is then extinguished using an can of Endust electronics cleaner.
